Luampo Curriculum
Luampo was born on October 2492 ( Buddhist year). He is currently 61 years old and has been devoted to the Thai Traditional Medicine since the age of 15. At this age he had a great relationship with his neighbour whom remained confined to a chair, unable to walk, due to a degenerative disease. Luampo decided to start massaging him daily. The result was that the neighbour began to walk and he decided to dedicate his life to learning massage.
Luampo began his monastic life at 37 years old. He went to “Tudon”, which means that he decided to become a “wandering monk”. The monks who choose this path enter the forest to meditate and survive on what the forest has to offer. It was during this experience where he began his interest on medicinal plants. Since then, Luampo has not stopped traveling, learning with different therapists and creating his own work technique. In his travel from Temple to Temple he treated the needy monks. Due to the effectiveness of his treatments, he began to gain a great reputation in Thailand. So much so, that he was called to treat a Luang Ta Maja Bua (one of the most revered and respected monks in the country) when he lost mobility because of an accident. After his therapy, Luang Ta Maja Bua gained his mobility and Luampo became one of the most important monk therapists in Thailand.
Today, he continues to travel throughout the country attending to monks and people in need. He treats patients with memory loss, paralysis, difficulties in speech, pathologies in the nervous system, muscle diseases, cardiac, respiratory, renal, plus many more.
When Luampo is asked what the secret of his art is, he replies that it is only his desire to help people.
